The normal pattern of our meetings is to draw random prompts, write for a few minutes inspired by the prompt, share our writings and then move on to the next random prompt.&lt;/WRAP>
&lt;WRAP >It leads to plenty of variety, but every piece is very short.&lt;/WRAP>
&lt;WRAP >This time we tried some very structured prompts. The purpose was to guide the writing through a series of episodes of a story.&lt;/WRAP>
&lt;WRAP >This turned out to be very successful. Some felt the challenge of writing a longer piece stretched them and helped them to grow. Others became drawn into the story they were writing.&lt;/WRAP>
&lt;WRAP >All wanted to try following this format again perhaps carrying on from where we had to leave it. It seemed two hours was too short a time.&lt;/WRAP>
