Retrospective – Writer’s workshop November 2017

In November last year we ran a weekend long writer’s workshop which brought together members from both the Ubud and Kerobokan clans. We identified and resolved a variety of issues people raised. Including:
- Balancing description and plot
- Ways to ensure stability of characters
- Bringing outside material (eg emails, letters etc) into the story without breaking the flow
- Choosing the right starting and finishing points for a story
- Showing rather than telling
People went away inspired and renewed. We look forward to seeing some results in due course…
