Our club provides a free of charge writing opportunity in Ubud and Kerobokan

We are people who enjoy writing just for the pleasure of it.

There are no limits in terms of experience, age, culture, style – or lack of it.. This is a creative time and space to rejoice the senses and regenerate.

An open heart, an open mind, and listening skills are essential. Comments, if any, will be respectful of the variety of views and life experiences expressed. We eschew criticism, we don’t worry about spelling or grammar. Our objective is to get the creative juices flowing without inhibition and to enjoy ourselves. NO PRAISE, NO CRITICISM, NO JUDGEMENTS

The format of our meetings is usually to write short pieces based on a prompt (allowing between 3 and 10 minutes per piece) and then share what we have written. The pieces 

can be funny, thoughtful, conversational, whatever happens to inspire you in the moment.

Whether or not you want to share what you have written with the rest of the group is up to you. You can even share it with the rest of the world via this web site if you feel you would like to.

We meet on alternate weeks in Ubud and once a month in Kerobokan . Check out our  calendar  for a list of dates and locations for our upcoming events. You can even link our calender into your own phone or computer diary so that our events will appear in your phone or Google or other calendar.

Despite the name “Club” you do not need to join or pay fees. Just come along and enjoy the writing experience with us.
